Valero Supports The Torch In Its Boldest And Brightest Pantomime Ever!

With only a week to go before the public performances of festive pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk, the Torch Theatre, Milford Haven, is delighted to have the support of Valero Energy Corporation as its generous Pantomime sponsor this year. Around 10,000 young people and adults see the pantomime annually, and last year’s pantomime Sleeping Beauty was a record breaker.

The Torch Theatre welcomes around 4,000 school children and their teachers to see the pantomime and educational packs with activities are distributed to support learning to each school that attends. Over 6000 people come along to the public shows, to sing, clap and cheer along, ensuring not only audience participation but community engagement.

Chelsey Gillard, Torch Theatre’s Artistic Director said:

“We are thrilled to be working with Valero to bring the magic of pantomime to the Torch once again. This support allows us to keep ticket prices as affordable as possible for everyone, ensuring the festive spirit reaches the communities across Pembrokeshire and beyond. Tickets are selling fast, especially during Christmas week and we look forward to seeing everyone.”

Founded in 1980, Valero Energy Corporation is the largest global independent petroleum refiner, and an international distributor and marketer of transportation fuels. It’s the world’s second largest corn ethanol producer and produces and sells renewable diesel.

The international company, that has been present in Pembrokeshire since it acquired the Pembroke Refinery in 2011, is delighted to be supporting the Torch Theatre.

“This year marks the 60th anniversary of Pembroke Refinery which has a long and proud tradition of supporting the arts in Pembrokeshire and there is no finer tradition at Christmas than Pantomime,” said Valero Pembroke Refinery’s Public Affairs Manager Stephen Thornton.

“Jack and the Beanstalk is a firm family favourite, and we’re thrilled to play our part in helping this season’s production at the Torch.

“Excellence and inclusivity play a big part in Valero’s ethos matching that of the Torch Theatre and their excellent productions for all the family to enjoy.”

Chelsey concluded: “Panto is the most vibrant part of our year at the Torch, and we are so excited to be working with Valero on Jack and the Beanstalk. A huge thank you to everyone at Valero for this generous support.”

Jack and the Beanstalk will feature on the Torch Theatre stage from Fri 13 Dec - Sun 29 Dec 2024 with matinee and evening performances. Ticket prices: £23.50 | £19.50 Cons | £75.00 Family. Relaxed Environment Performance on Saturday 14 December at 2pm. BSL Performance - Tuesday 17 December at 6pm.
