You may know us as Pembrokeshire’s only professional producing theatre company, one of only three building based theatre companies in Wales. You may also know us as a digital and 3D cinema, gallery exhibition space or simply know about the work we do with young people. What you may not know is that we are a registered charity and we rely on the generous support of donors to continue offering an unrivalled mix of entertainment to the people of Pembrokeshire and beyond.
Why support us?
We receive annual funding from the Arts Council of Wales, Pembrokeshire County Council and Milford Haven Town Council. With increasing pressures on public arts funding, however, these subsidies are exceeded when trying to successfully deliver a busy, quality programme of events and community engagement initiatives to audiences in excess of 70,000. As a result, we need additional support from individuals and businesses who share and understand the commercial and social benefits of having an important cultural facility such as the Torch right here in West Wales.
How does sponsorship help us?
The Torch Theatre Company annually produces three or four high-quality professional productions that are entirely made in Pembrokeshire. Sponsorship allows us to be able to improve and expand on these award-winning shows, some of which tour nationally and perform at the Edinburgh Festival.
Our Education, Youth Theatre work and Under 26 ticket schemes are only made possible by the generous donations of our supporters. £5 alone subsidises a ticket for a local young person to enjoy the magic of theatre for the first time.
The Torch is a registered charity because we enrich cultural life and offer educational benefit in the community. Our unique position in the region is reliant on securing the support of individuals and businesses who care about what we do and can see the benefits of having an association with us.
