Suzie Miller’s gripping one-woman play returns to cinemas

If you enjoyed the theatre productions Fleabag, Vanya and Hedda Gabbler or the television series Doctor Foster or Killing Eve, then the National Theatre’s production of  Prime Facie by Suzie Miller will tick all the boxes. Don’t miss Jodie Comer’s breath-taking West End debut here on the Torch Theatre cinema screen on 19 September.

Justin Martin directs this solo tour de force, the most-watched NT Live production of all time. Filmed live from the Harold Pinter Theatre in 2022, Prima Facie returns to our cinema screens following the footsteps of the young, brilliant barrister, Tessa. Having worked her way up from working class origins to be at the top of her game; defending; cross examining and winning, an unexpected event forces her to confront the lines where the patriarchal power of the law, burden of proof and morals diverge.

Given rave reviews by major daily newspapers including the Telegraph - ‘West End debuts don't come much more astonishing than this' and with the Evening Standard awarding the one woman play four stars describing it as ‘An extraordinarily gutsy and rich performance by Jodie Comer,’ you don’t want to miss this captivating screening.

Prima Facie will be on the Torch Theatre cinema screen on Thursday 19 September at 7pm. Ticket prices: £15 / Concession: £13 and U26: £8.50. To book your tickets or for further information, contact the Box Office on 01646 695267 or click here.
