Tell us a bit about the evening? What can audiences expect?
The evening will be a fun interactive murder mystery set in 1920s America. In an underground speakeasy, the famous Deadly Double cocktail is the must have drink. With the recipe locked away in owner Marty Lynch’s safe, and business thriving, nothing could possibly go wrong…that is until Marty’s twin brother Harry turns up, with two detectives on his tail.
The evening will consist of a welcome drink and a two-course meal courtesy of Café Torch.
Who is behind or responsible for the Murder Mystery evening?
We are called the Midweek Murder Mystery Club. It was set up by myself and two friends, Dan and Gabby, in August 2023. We create, produce and star in all of our Murder Mysteries.
What type of audience will enjoy the show?
Obviously Murder Mystery fans, but also fans of puzzles and escape rooms. This particular Murder Mystery is a comedy, so if you’re a fan of a bit of slapstick and farce then you’ll enjoy this one.
What if you’ve never been to a Murder Mystery before?
If you’ve never been then it’s very easy to enjoy. The characters will interact with you so make sure to ask lots of questions and get involved. Don’t’ worry - you don’t have to solve it, it’s all about the experience.
Say a bit about the characters.
The Club is run by the charismatic showman Marty Lynch, but he co-owns it with his twin brother Harry. The Club is very popular as best singer in town Pearl Parker is their resident Cabaret singer, along with her backup singer Lizzie. All seems to be going well until a detective with a chip on his shoulder arrives with his bumbling partner and all hell breaks loose!
