Delightful, dragontastic show for pop princesses and naughty knights
Family Favourites Full House will soon be flying into the Torch Theatre, Milford Haven with its new live show based on the bestselling book, The Worst Princess. The whole family will adore this fun-filled laugh out loud fantasy extravaganza with incredible puppets, catchy sing along pop songs and a dazzling larger-than-life dragon.
Feisty Sue is not your everyday fairy tale superstar, in fact she’s The Worst Princess. After being rescued by her twit of a prince she’s ready to start her happy end. But first she’ll have to befriend a dragon, escape from a tower and set the prince’s pants on fire with her new fire-breathing bestie. Will Sue find her happily ever after?
Come along to the Torch Theatre, at the end of May, when Full House will be embarking on its largest and most ambitious tour to date with its epic adaptation of Anna Kemp and Sara Ogilvie’s book, The Worst Princess, suitable for ages 3+.
Anna Kemp, author of The Worst Princess, is delighted with the show.
She said: “What a wonderful show! We were all riveted throughout. The performances were all so full of energy and fun... It can't be easy turning a very short picture book into an hour-long show, but you did a tremendous job - really well paced with loads of variety. I loved it all. Thank you for choosing to turn my book into such a fabulous show.”
And an audience member added:
“Excellent show - great message, high production values. Better than things we have seen in the West End. We need more theatre companies like Full House to encourage young people to the arts.”
Full House understand that little people like to wriggle about, especially when so much fun is going on around them, so they have a relaxed atmosphere at all of the shows.
“So don’t stress if your little one needs to get out of their seat or if you need to pop-out midway through the performance for a loo break! We understand. We just want you and your family to relax and enjoy the show. The Worst Princess has been designed to optimise audience support and accessibility. This includes lighting and audio specifications to minimise anxiety,” said Full House.
You can see The Worst Princess on the Torch Theatre stage on Saturday 24 May at 2.30pm and Sunday 25 May at 11.30am and 2pm. Tickets are £14 (adult), £12 (child) and £46 family. Visit the website for further details www.torchtheatre.co.uk / phone the Box Office on (01646) 695267 or click here.
