The Torch Theatre – Theatr y Torch, means so many different things to all of the lovely people that we welcome here throughout the year. As a happy member of our Box Office and Front of House team, it’s a genuine pleasure to meet everyone that visits. We try our best to support our patrons as well as we can, providing information about all of the various events, shows, films, broadcasts, Café events and community activities that are held here with us.

One of the things I really enjoy about working at the Torch is the variety within our working day. No one day is ever the same! I feel very strongly that as a venue we are constantly striving to engage with, and cater for, our wonderful Pembrokeshire communities. Having a producing theatre in our county is something I believe we should all be very proud of. Supporting this incredible theatre to thrive is something I feel passionate about.

The Youth Theatre programme is something that members of my family have been actively engaged in since the 1990’s and they have gained confidence and inspirational creative industry skills from being part of these sessions over the generations. Being able to watch people of all ages flourish when they take part in any of our creative workshops is always joyful.

Mondays and Fridays are my favourite days as we welcome our wonderful dementia friendly Cradle Choir on a Monday and the fantastic My Moves dancers for classes on a Friday. These groups fill the Box Office, foyer and public areas with music and happiness and lift all of our spirits at the same time! The groups embody our inclusive and accessible ethos and this highlights the importance of providing a warm and supportive welcome in a safe and uplifting environment.

Working alongside my lovely colleagues, both staff and volunteers, brings me such joy and I am very grateful for this. Come along and join us at one of our fundraising events soon – our Coffee and Cake Mornings have raised hundreds of pounds over the years for several local and national charities and are a great way to come along to meet our team and to find out more about what brilliant events we are planning in the coming months….
