Café Torch, our in-house food and beverage team, deliver pre-show suppers and event catering alongside serving fresh coffee and homemade cake in our 36-60 cover Café and the Kiosk.

 

We are looking for a fun, creative, reliable and motivated individual with a pro-active attitude to meet the diverse needs of the operation.

 

You’ll have a ‘can-do’ positive attitude with a good sense of humour and will be comfortable working in a small, friendly and supportive team in what can be, on occasion, a fast-paced environment.

 

Flexibility is an important aspect of this role. You will be requested to work hours as determined by the show and event programme and the needs of the Café - this will include a variety of day, evening, weekend and bank holiday shifts allocated on a rota basis.

The position is permanent with part-time/full-time considered. The salary will be a minimum £10.50 per hour depending on experience.

Casual Cafe & Bar Assistant

 

Our Café, Bar and Kiosk are always popular with our Torch Theatre visitors. You’ll help to keep all areas running in a friendly and efficient manner, adding to our visitor’s experience with your excellent customer service skills. So, if you have a passion for customer service and have experience of Café and/or Bar work, this could be an excellent opportunity for you.

 

As a casual Café/Bar/Kiosk Assistant you will be responsible for welcoming and serving customers visiting the Torch Café, Bar and Kiosk in a quick and efficient manner always remaining calm in what can be a busy environment.

 

Our Café and Bar opening hours are determined by our theatre and cinema programmes and will regularly vary. We therefore operate a shift/rota system with hours agreed in advance with the Front of House & Operations Manager. Our Bar and Kiosk is licensed from 11:00am to 1:00am so early and/or late shifts over the week, weekends and Bank Holidays will be required. Availability is therefore an essential requirement of this role.
