The Torch Theatre is always looking for enthusiastic Volunteers to be a part of Team Torch at Pembrokeshire’s only professional theatre and arts venue.
Front of House Volunteers
As well as providing a warm welcome and checking tickets, selling programmes, sweets and ice-creams to the thousands of people who come through the doors annually Volunteers also receive a range of other benefits including complimentary and reduced price tickets for the many events taking place throughout the year.
“It’s a really exciting opportunity for people who want to work in a theatre environment and to play their part as it were. It’s a great chance to make new friends and to work in the unique and thrilling environment that an arts centre such as the Torch offers.”
Marcus Lewis, Front of House Manager

The Marketing Department also have a team of Volunteers who assist in the regular distribution of posters, flyers and season brochures around the county and are an important point of contact in some of our more rural villages.
From village Post Offices and corner shops to town amenities, cafés, restaurants and local clubs – these Volunteers assist us in extending our publicity, spreading the word and encouraging others to enjoy the work of one of Wales’ most respected theatres.
However, not everyone wants to be out and about so we have a small group who come in every couple of weeks to help us put together the latest mail shots.
“The marketing volunteers play an invaluable part in getting the message out there about all of our shows. Even in the digital age, you still can’t beat getting posters up around the place and handing out flyers – we have a lot of fun whilst doing it too!” Karen Lewis, Digital Marketing & Design Officer
