The Torch Theatre is once again proud to present this Summer’s Sunset Cinema, sponsored by the Port of Milford Haven. From the end of July, right up until the latter half of September, there are films to suit all tastes, screened in numerous locales across the county and over the border.
From family films, to cult classics and outright all-time favourites, the Torch Theatre is stocked with a strong arsenal of movies to delight the people of Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire!
Beauty & The Beast (2017, PG) will be Sunset Cinema’s opening film, screening at Gelliswick Bay, Milford Haven on July 28, and returning to Milford Waterfront on August 18.
Disney’s stunning recreation of the animated classic, starring Emma Watson as Belle, Dan Stevens as Beast and Luke Evans as Gaston, has smashed Box Office records and has been met with critically positive acclaim from critics and audiences alike; enjoy the experience for yourself with an evening screening under the sunset.
Top Gun (12) will then round off the month, with the screening scheduled for July 29 at Hook Sports & Social Club; a true classic, and one of Tom Cruise’s most loved and iconic performances as he plays ‘Maverick’, a hotshot Navy Aviator who is selected for advanced flight and weapons training, learning a few things from a civilian instructor, not taught in the classroom…
Sunset Cinema will then travel to Picton Castle (Haverfordwest), Noble Court (Narberth), Kidwelly Castle and Bishops Castle (St Davids) in August, with a continued selection of films, such as the energetic and feel-good Hairspray (2007, PG), the cult-classic hit Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975, 15) and 1987’s Dirty Dancing (12).
September will then bring a close to Sunset Cinema, with a number of screenings. There are a couple of films yet to be confirmed, so keep an eye open for updates!
