One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest is this Year’s Incredible Autumn Production

The Torch Theatre is delighted to present this year’s Autumn Production, in conjunction and support with Mind Pembrokeshire; Dale Wasserman’s spectacular re-working of the incredible, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, directed by the award winning Peter Doran as the theatre celebrates its 40th Birthday.

This adaptation of Ken Kesey’s classic American novel tells the story of institutional madness, where the mentally insane are drugged, electrocuted and lobotomised in order to enforce a chilling notion of sanity, where obedience and conformity are the only acceptable indications of mental health…

As a staple of cultural and social commentary, as well as a renowned resource for the exploration into some of the real ‘taboo’ subjects, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest is not afraid to take perceptions, ideas and turn them on their heads.

A genuinely eye-opening production and one that is sure to get people talking, the Torch Theatre welcomes audiences to join us in celebration and to enjoy one of our performances of ‘One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest’.

“You will laugh, cry, and question everything society has ever told you to be true.”
