It was a trumpeting success when the Band of the Welsh Guards made a triumphant return to Milford Haven recently in a concert to raise money for two local charities. The concert, sold to a packed out audience at the Torch Theatre, raised £1558.19 for the Milford Haven Sea Cadets & Royal Marines Cadets and the Milford Haven Junior Town Band.

The Band of the Welsh Guards hasn’t played in Milford Haven since the Tall Ships Race in 1991 and its members were warmly welcomed along with musicians from Pembrokeshire County Music Services to celebrate the historic links between the Regiment and Wales.

Torch Theatre’s Artistic Director Peter Doran and Business Manager Guy Woodham were delighted to present the cheque to the Mayor of Milford Haven, Cllr William Elliott BA QTS to be divided between his chosen charities.
