Over the coming months, the Torch Theatre once again provides an incredible line-up of dynamic and genuine comedic talent, for what is sure to be a sell-out season of Comedy at the Torch Theatre!

The Torch has become renowned on the comedy circuit as a tryout venue for the country’s finest comedians with Alan Carr, Lee Evans and Kevin Bridges all performing at the venue in recent times.

Comedy will kick off with a bang with Rich Hall’s Hoedown; his critically acclaimed show will be showcased at The Torch Theatre on Friday 29 September at 8pm as part of his second leg tour of the UK. It has never been a better time to be an American comedian in the UK, as Hall’s precision dismantling of the tenuous relationship between two countries is as freewheeling and deadly accurate as ever!

The Hoedown begins as a withering dissection of Trump’s America, but ends up being a celebration of Americana. From stand-up, improvised ballads, cracking good musicianship, and ultimately a hilarious, foot-stomping, there’s a ‘sh*t-kicking good time’ to be had by all, guaranteed… even if you don’t own a hoe!

‘Hall’s genius, on the spot lyrical rhyming is raucously entertaining and very clever’Spears Magazine

December is then populated by two heavyweights in the comedy scene; Andy Parsons and Phill Jupitus.

Quoted to be consistent with exposing life’s bullsh*t, and a straight talker of the often blunt truth throughout his comedic career, by The Guardian and ‘Brilliantly funny and insightful’ by The Metro – you can see Andy Parsons for his insight into ‘Peak Bullsh*t’ on Saturday 2nd December at 8pm.

You can then join stand-up comedian, poet, improviser, and TV stalwart Phill Jupitus for over an hour of tales, laughs and diversions, on the following Saturday 9th December, 7.30pm.
Watch in delight and/or horror as this experienced funny man drags laughs out of the chaos of his own life and the uncertain world that surrounds it.

We then enter 2018 with a sure-fire line-up of laughter and entertainment with Mark Watson on the 26th January, Mike Doyle on the 23rd February and George Egg on the 14th March, with many more yet to be confirmed – keep an eye open on the Torch Theatre’s website and social media for regular updates!

Get your hands on some tickets, because these are sure to be very popular!

Tickets for these comedians and all other events at the Torch are available online at www.torchtheatre.co.uk or by calling the box office on 01646 695267.
